Dealing with pain? Before you reach for that heating pad, consider this: Ice might be your best friend! ❄️
Dealing with pain? Before you reach for that heating pad, consider this: Ice might be your best friend! ❄️
posted: Sep. 18, 2024
When it comes to back pain, ice is often more effective than heat.
Why? Ice helps reduce inflammation and numb sore tissues, providing faster relief from pain and swelling.
Heat, on the other hand, can increase blood flow and inflammation, which might feel good initially but could worsen the pain in the long run.
So next time your back or neck is bothering you, reach for an ice pack and let the relief begin! 🧊
